Purported Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 30x zoom camera sample looks amazing
Samsung is gearing up to announce the Galaxy S23 series during a February 1 Unpacked event and has already opened the S23 preorder reservations where you can also get $50 for booking an S23+, or the mighty Galaxy S23 Ultra that is shaping up as the phone to beat in 2023.

Another impressive camera achievement that the Galaxy S23 Ultra may bring, however, is that the optical periscope zoom quality may be improved even further on top of what’s already the best one out there on its predecessor. Equipped with very similar hardware for its 10x optical – 100x Space Zoom digital magnification, the S23 Ultra reportedly managed to pull the 30x magnification shot that you see below that has the clarity of a 20x magnification result from the S22 Ultra.

Furthermore, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy may have allowed Samsung to augment its computational photography algorithms so that it can seamlessly merge more shots from different cameras much faster than before, resulting in camera superiority over the S22 Ultra.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra camera specs to expect
- Main camera: 200MP custom Samsung ISOCELL HP2 1/1.13″ sensor with 0.60 micron pixel size
- Front camera: 12MP with large pixels and AF, f/2.2 aperture, 25mm, 80-degree field of view, HDR10+

It won’t be the first time that Samsung sells an ultra high-res sensor to other phone makers to brag with, like its last 108MP and 200MP products, but keeps their customized version for itself and the Galaxy S Ultra line.
